Busy Month: Notebooks on the go!

Minister Heather Humphreys at the Inside [Craft] Launch

Last week end also saw the launch of the Inside Craft initiative, promoting local Arts and Crafts. Virginia, Cavan, was hosting the event with the blessing of the Arts and Culture Minister Heather Humphreys, who accepted one of my Huga book as gift! Not a bad way to start! The pop-up will be in place until the Virginia show on the 23rd so please, come and admire and why not treat yourself!

About Inside [Craft], here is what Minister Heather Humphreys had to say:

“I am delighted to launch this exciting new initiative, which has the potential to significantly boost the numbers of visitors coming to this region. Cavan and its surrounding counties are renowned for arts, crafts and creativity and I look forward to Inside [CRAFT] showcasing this to a much wider audience. The Government’s Creative Ireland programme aims to enable culture and creativity in every community nationwide, so it is wonderful to see the Local Enterprise Offices in Cavan, Leitrim, Longford and Roscommon putting culture to the forefront of their agenda. Engaging in cultural activities is good for our sense of wellbeing, great for tourism and in turn very beneficial for the economy. I would encourage everyone to check out the range of events which will be held as part of Inside [CRAFT] across these four counties in the coming months.”

The next pop up should be in Lough Key Forest Park, near Boyle, Roscommon, in September! A nice family day out!

Slieve Russell Craft Fair

Huga made its entry in the real world in Slieve Russell, Cavan, thanks to Trish Ryan from Downland Craft organising the event. It was, indeed, a very nice afternoon in very pleasant company! Meet us again in October, 1st for the Autumn event!

Hey! It has been a busy month!
